Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of GeoMeta Pro at geometa-pro.web.app. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Acceptable use
GeoMeta Pro is provided for legitimate image metadata inspection, privacy review, and field documentation export workflows. You agree to use the tool only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe the rights of others.
You must not use GeoMeta Pro to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Process images that you do not own or do not have the right to process, such as images obtained without consent from third parties.
- Track, monitor, or collect location data about individuals without their knowledge or consent.
- Harass, stalk, or violate the privacy of any person using metadata extracted or exported through the tool.
- Attempt to access, interfere with, or disrupt the website's underlying infrastructure or services.
You are solely responsible for the images you choose to process and for how you use the metadata and exported files generated by the tool.
2. No warranty
GeoMeta Pro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
GeoMeta Pro does not guarantee that the metadata displayed is accurate, complete, or free from error. EXIF and GPS data can be incorrect, missing, or altered at the source before it reaches the tool. See the Disclaimer for a full explanation of metadata accuracy limitations.
3. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aswin Murugalingam and GeoMeta Pro shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the tool, including but not limited to reliance on inaccurate metadata, privacy incidents resulting from shared files, or data loss resulting from exported files.
4. Intellectual property
The GeoMeta Pro website, including its text content, design, graphics, and code, is the intellectual property of Aswin Murugalingam unless otherwise indicated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the site's original content without prior written permission.
GeoMeta Pro uses open-source libraries including Leaflet.js, EXIF.js, and jsPDF, each of which is governed by its respective open-source licence. Use of these libraries within the tool does not transfer any intellectual property rights to users.
5. Third-party services
GeoMeta Pro integrates with third-party services including Google AdSense, Google Fonts, Firebase Hosting, and OpenStreetMap. Your use of these services when using GeoMeta Pro is subject to those services' own terms and privacy policies. GeoMeta Pro is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service.
6. Changes to the site and terms
GeoMeta Pro may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice. These terms may also be updated. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
